The Stoa pillar, “We have a Biblical worldview,” and this year’s theme, Rooted in Truth, make us aware of our longing for truth, and our need to better know its source: the Bible.
A foundational principle in Stoa is to know the truth well enough to articulate it clearly, and proclaim it boldly. While we may be inspired and gain insight through Christian books, websites, and small groups, it is imperative that we prioritize engaging directly with God’s Word in order to fully understand and live out our Biblical worldview.
George Müller, a giant of the faith, read the entire Bible more than 200 times. Half of those times, he read the Bible on his knees, actively praying as he read. His commitment to reading all the way through the Bible again and again began, in part, when he realized that he often read about the Bible, but too infrequently opened up the Bible itself.
Having a Biblical worldview means being rooted in truth, which can only come from the fertile soil of God’s Word. As Stoa families, may we live out our Biblical worldview through dedicated study and bold proclamation of the truth. Click to hear more about our theme.
