Welcome to the 2025-2026 season! This year we will focus on Stoa's second foundational pillar ("We have a biblical worldview") through the theme Rooted in Truth. We invite Stoa families to pause and ask, "How do we know what is true? How do we develop a biblical worldview?" Two basic characteristics of truth are that it is real and knowable. To say truth is "real," we mean that truth exists. When we say truth is knowable, we mean that humans can learn and understand truth.

Where can we find real, knowable truth? First, we know truth when we know Christ. (John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life.") Second, God promulgated truth by giving us the Bible. Inerrant and complete, it instructs us on how to know Christ and how to evaluate beliefs to determine their truthfulness. We primarily develop a biblical worldview by reading God’s revealed truth in the Bible.

While we find profit in studying the Bible in many different ways, let us never read about God’s Word while neglecting to read God’s actual Word. May we test our thoughts, words, actions, and beliefs against the truth of the Bible. May the Bible's truth refine our faith and light the path for our feet. (1 Peter 1:7; Psalm 119:105.)
