Power of Prayer
If you have been in Stoa for any length of time, you have probably become familiar with our Vision Statement, inspiring us “to develop world-class communicators who speak boldly and change the world for Christ”. In our own efforts, we might be able to train up world class communicators. However, speaking boldly in this generation and changing their world for Christ requires something more than we can give our students. It requires God to intervene in their lives. It requires His power to be living in them. As we start this school year, let’s pray for our Stoa students to develop a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus. Pray for them by name, look for ways to serve them, and watch the Lord work in their lives. Let Ezekiel 11:19-20 be the prayer we pray over our students this month. “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow My decrees and be careful to keep My laws. They will be My people, and I will be their God.”
