Conor McBride attended the University of Oklahoma and received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and then an M.D. from OU in 2019. He is currently a fourth-year surgery resident. He reflects on his Stoa years saying, “I loved policy debate and extemporaneous speaking. Apologetics also became a favorite event for me, as it helped me learn to think critically and communicate effectively about my faith.” He continues, “The public speaking, research, and [analytical] skills that I developed have undeniably served me well, but the friendships were far more formative. I found a peer group that defined my high school years and helped me grow in my faith, maturity, and character.” To read more about how Conor now offers hope to others through his work as an orthopedic surgeon, click here.
