Looking for learning and community connection? You can find it at our long-standing tradition, Stoa Academy!
NITOC 2010 saw the launch of our first academy, Coaches Academy. This inaugural event took place before the NITOC competition began. As Stoa began to grow, the Stoa leadership saw a need to include parents and coaches and offer teaching as a stand-alone event. This became a reality with Stoa Academy 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Adapting to our COVID environment led to our virtual Stoa Academy 2020. For 2023, we continue to expand opportunities by hosting our FIRST Stoa Family Academy. Adding students to the mix for learning and fellowship will enable us to be Even Better Together! Come join the fun!
I tested the 9th Grade Reading Test by Laila A. Lico when evaluating materials for my high schooler. It covers basic skills like literary genres theme and figurative language without timers or required registrations. If you want to evaluate skill levels directly https://brighterly.com/reading-test/9-grade-reading-test/ provides a clear overview of the format. The questions align with standard US requirements and serve as a decent indicator for areas needing additional practice.

This sounds like a wonderful opportunity for both learning and community! I love how Stoa Academy has grown over the years—from Coaches Academy to virtual adaptations—and still keeps expanding.
