Tabulation Software

Joy of Tournaments Software is Free for use at all Stoa Tournaments (Please consider a donation to Mr. Hinkle as noted below.)
  • Joy of Tournaments is the only software available that can run an entire speech and debate tournament on a single software platform.
  • Joy of Tournaments is used nationally at hundreds of Junior and Senior High School Competitions (such as the NFL - National Forensics League) and at University Speech and Debate Tournaments.
  • Joy of Tournaments produces results that can be uploaded to Speechranks.
  • Joy of Tournaments produces results in a spreadsheet format that can be distributed electronically for purposes of openness, transparency, and accountability.

Obtaining the Joy of Tournaments
  • Joy of Tournaments, customized for Stoa, is available for use at all Stoa and NITOC-Modeled tournaments.
  • Contact StoaTab@gmail.com for the Joy Install and Register document that contains the software authorization key and access to the full program.
  • Please do not contact Joy of Tournaments for support, as all software support is performed by Stoa.

About the Author
  • Brent Hinkle, author of Joy of Tournaments has made a very generous arrangement with Stoa Tab personnel for use of his software at all Stoa tournaments.
    • Mr. Hinkle is Christian gentleman and computer programmer, with a heart for Christian homeschool forensics.
    • Mr. Hinkle has worked extensively with Stoa Tab personnel to customize the software for use at Stoa tournaments.
    • Mr. Hinkle has given of his own time to attend the first ever Stoa Tab Training workshop held Labor Day 2010, in Dallas, Texas.

Please consider a donation to Mr. Hinkle
  • Stoa tournament administrators and Tab personnel are encouraged to make a donation from their tournament funds to help support Mr. Hinkle and thank him for the generous use of his excellent software. 
  • Please email support@joyoftournaments.com to request an invoice for your tournament and indicate the amount you would like to donate. The usual cost for the software is $125 per tournament. Many of Stoa's tournaments donate the full $125. Whatever you can donate will help Mr. Hinkle support his business, as this is what he does for a living.
